Special Interest Sessions (SIS) are curated, discussion-led session exploring a topical ITS issue, challenge or emerging opportunity.
- Mostly discuss work that is underway or recetly completed regionally, nationally or internationally.
- Organisers submit a plan describing how a chosen set of speakers would address key aspects of important topics - achievements, problems, trends, technology developments, policies, etc.
Technical Papers are practice-oriented papers presenting deployments, pilots, technologies, operational experience or business and institutional aspects.
- Present current and original work, incorporating the latest field advancements.
- Encompass innovative solutions improving existing practices, providing valuable insights to others, as well as outcomes from practical work, trials, demonstrations, and pilot studies.
Research Papers are rigorous peer-reviewed papers presenting original research, methodology, analysis and validated findings.
- Actively contribute to advancing the state of the art by introducing novel concepts or addressing existing limitations.
- Demonstrate a high level of scholarship, innovation, and analytical exploration of emerging issues or solutions, surpassing mere re-examination of previously studied subjects.
Posters are concise, highly visual presentation of an idea, project, pilot, early-stage result or work in progress; designed for direct interaction.
- Present ongoing or recently completed work, including work that may not yet be sufficiently mature for a full technical or research paper and share practical experiences, lessons learned and case studies from ITS deployment,
- Facilitate knowledge exchange between researchers, industry, public authorities, practitioners and other ITS stakeholders, and encourage interaction and discussion
- Highlight emerging topics, new approaches and ideas that could contribute to the future development of ITS.
