Paul is both consultant press officer on the Congress delivery team at Transport for West Midlands, and the chair of the marketing and sales advisory subgroup.
Paul is one of the world’s leading ITS journalists. He owns the website Highways News and is a regular presenter of podcasts and webinars. For the last 15 years, he has supported companies with business development and media strategy, including ITS UK and Transport Technology Forum - two key membership bodies for national transport technology sector.
Paul started his ITS career in 2000 when he began running operations in radio traffic news companies in the UK, Australia, Canada and the US. He went on to help deliver the first ‘Radio Data System – Traffic Message Channel’ service in the UK, machine-to-machine travel information protocols, the original multi-modal journey planning portal, Transport Direct, and the Highways Agency of England’s bespoke all-traffic radio station.
